Runeboo Dress-Up Contest!
Help. I'm stumped on something and I need ideas from you creative people. So it's really simple-- here's the deal: Create a costume for this runeboo:
I'm looking for something super frilly and elegant. Maybe a dress with flower pedals incorporated and such. Basically something Inka would design. Whoever's costume I like best will get an Upgrade Marble! Contest ends in 2 days! (slightly flexible. Let me know if you're running late and I'll extend it) So GO GO GO! Colored sketches are fine. It does not have to be extravagant at all. I don't care if you whip something up in 5 minutes. It's just a marble, so don't need to go insane or anything. Just a fun and quick contest!

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT-DISCORD MANDATED-PLEASE READ!
As a lot of you have noticed over the last couple of days, we’ve been moving things around in our Discord server. The reason is because we are moving many of the systems we once used in DeviantArt journal comments, and transferring to them via Discord. Since Eclipse, DA no longer notifies any member of staff when a comment gets posted on a journal. (Making it impossible to keep up with the activity there on an active basis) Boo-hoo, Eclipse has broken groups. Maybe they’ll fix it, maybe not. For now, we need a reliable system. So we are now:
MANDATING THE USE OF DISCORD TO USE WYNGRO MECHANICS
For the foreseeable future at least.
That being said, I am really excited for us to implement Discord further into the group. Discord has evolved so much since it popped up into our radar in 2016. It’s united countless communities in providing a platform that feels secure, easy to use, and so so organized. (I love you Discord)

Where will I talk with a moderator about edits?
For MYO, Bred/Purchased, & Adult approvals, we will now be commenting on the deviations in question if edits are needed. It is very important that these messages do NOT get deleted! They are indicators to us, as mods, to verify the proof of your approval. Deleting deviations where they are posted, or the messages themselves, can and will VOID your approval!
For Nova Shrine, Magic Masterlist, Donated Designs, Commissions, Rattle’s Rest, & Obituary, we will be using the channel #Moderation to tag you when we need changes. (Since they are on a smaller scale)
Trading Journal & Breeding Journal
For now, the Trading Post remains the same. We will be slowly implementing that into discord as well, however as its own section/category, and we’re excited to implement it as a clearer, more engaging system on Discord as well.
Breeding journals will stay as they are only to use for their comment chains. (Since there is no deviation to create one) So use breeding in the same way, but you must MAKE SURE that your comment posted to the Breeding Journal is then added to our #breeding_Approvals channel in discord! We apologize for the extra step, and hope that in the future, we will have better resources to make it more convenient for everyone.
Front Page Clean Up!
Honestly, we don’t even know what Eclipse will do in changing the faces of groups soon, but for now we have made some changes to clean up the page. All icons no longer relevant to DA have been removed, and cleaned up for easier viewing.
Discord Spring Cleaning
During our integration of adding new channels to Discord, we’ve done some cleaning up of old, unused channels to make room for more. Most notably, we have removed the #Rant channel from our Discord.
We know that many of you used this channel to vent your frustrations about life, but unfortunately it was used too often as a platform to bring up controversial topics, sensitive topics that made others uncomfortable, vague blogging, becoming too personal, and overall promoting bad vibes. Where do we rant now?
Wyngro should not be your only place to vent frustrations, and we encourage you to express these emotions to good friends, smaller groups, etc. This decision is final for the foreseeable future, so we ask that you be understanding of that. Please do not heavily rant in the Wyngro server. Minor complaining about life is always fine, but if we find it’s getting too heated, we will ask that you take the conversation to DMs.
What if I have an approval/comment already waiting on one of these journals?
Don’t worry, we will be addressing all outstanding approvals and breedings, etc, so you don’t have to do anything there. We have not forgotten about you. As you know, we have some new apprentices on board the staff, so we are currently slow on them in order to train our newbies on these outstanding apps. Thank you so much for your patience there.
We know change is hard, but we’re excited to get the community more active and engaged on Discord either way, due to the faster reaction time on the platform!

Magic classes require less art and less time, but that also means they have deadlines that require you to produce a polished piece of art each week!
Classes are not free, and both Basic & Intermediate classes require scholarship tickets to join! To get the diploma, YES, they need to retake the class. If you just want your Wyngro to finish learning their element, however, you can do it at your leisure!

Eclipse Sucks: Let's fix it
Let's fill this journal with screenshots and issues we're happening, and what we need for this site to be workable. Not using a journal skin this time, because they look like ass in Eclipse as well.
ISSUE: Can't REMOVE ALL favs
Classic DA: Has the ability "select all" and then "remove" all that are selected.
Eclipse: Does not have this feature anywhere, it makes you delete every message individually.
The best way to get rid of messages quickly right now is to select them individually and remove them all on the above dropdown menu.
Solution:
Create a "REMOVE ALL" or "PURGE" button on the bottom of every message ccategory, such as favs, comments, and replies. Simple. This will make Eclipse even more convenient than the classic version!
ISSUE: Deviations on Full view lose the ability to scroll down and blow them up into a size they were not intended to be
This one is pretty bad in my opinion, especially when you consider the main point of this site is to, ya know, display art! Here's an example I found with my newest deviation.
Classic DA: shows a smaller display of your deviation like so:
When you zoom in, it collapses the right side panel to blow your image up, while still being able to scroll down to the description and comments.
Eclipse: So far, so good! It's workable at least. But when you try to zoom into the image....
It pulls you into a different page so to speak, where you lose the rest of the page and can no longer scroll down to see comments and such. Also, it's the same view as before, so.. pointless??
Click to zoom in again, and it blows the image up as far as your screen will allow, whether the image was intended to be that big or not. This honestly makes my art look like shit, and because it took 2 clicks to get there, removing my viewers from the community, I doubt they will ever end up viewing it larger anyways.
Solution: Don't remove us from the rest of the page, and don't let the image zoom into a mod that's bigger than it was intended to be.
